Indianapolis is the capital and most populous city in the U.S. state of Indiana. The city covers an area of 367.97 square kilometres and has a population of 887,642, making it the 15th largest city in the United States. Paoli Peaks Ski Resort is the largest and most famous ski resort near Indianapolis. The resort has 65 acres of skiable terrain and 15 runs, the longest spanning 3.5 miles. Paoli Peaks Ski Resort has state-of-the-art snowmaking equipment that can make up to 12 inches of snow per night.

Perfect North Slopes Ski Resort

Perfect North Slopes Ski Resort is located in Lawrenceburg, about 1.5 hours from Indianapolis. The resort has 100 acres of skiable terrain, a 400-foot vertical drop, and 23 trails that cater to all skiing difficulty levels. Some of the winter sports offered at the resort include skiing, night skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing. About 24 inches (609.6 millimetres) of snowfall is recorded in the resort annually.
